Today on the podcast:

Marcus Smith is an endurance athlete, ultra runner and motivational speaker

Today’s episode is with someone who I look up to and admire greatly. When I’m trying to build my mental toughness, Marcus is one of my biggest influences for doing that. You may recognise his voice from Podcast 207 where he talks about going from the intensive care unit to running 30 marathons in 30 days. There are few people who light me up as much as Marcus, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed recording it.

Some of the things we talked about in today’s episode:

  • Building the ‘ultra’ mindset to just keep going when times get difficult
  • Being on his deathbed in an intensive care unit and thinking ‘what if’
  •  How to build confidence by doing things that cause you discomfort
  •   Making yourself mentally tougher by just showing up every day

 And much more
